What motivates people to migrate to Australia? Is it the culture, the landscape, or is it the lifestyle? I recently met a young English lady that has left friends and family to be immersed in the Aussie way of life. Hailey Marie McFadden is like a kid in a candy store with the new world that she has created for herself here in Australia. Hailey has embraced much of the surf, skate culture that a lot of us grew up with, as well as capturing a new visual perspective on life through her photography.

Hailey proudly showed me her skating scars while talking scabs and injuries over the duration of the last seven months. Her focus was on how much creative energy she has connected with since she started skating and surfing. Hailey has had some of her images be 'photo of the day' on Magic Seaweed whilst photographing her new world.

I would like to mention that Hailey loves her 'Bamboo Riser' from Early Skateboards and if you would like to check out more of Hailey's work... Facebook
