Liz Clark is an amazing individual that has been living on her boat on a solo voyage doing just that. Liz is a surfer, writer, environmentalist, and ambassador of light and love who has captained her 40-ft sailboat, 'Swell', 15000 miles around the Pacific. Being somewhere out there in the big blue I managed to communicate with her via the technology of our modern times and asked Liz some questions:

I got to talk with one of the influential ladies of surf... Jenny Boggis Surf Coach extraordinaire. Jenny has first handedly been part of professional woman's surfing for most of her life. Now based in Lennox Head in northern N.S.W, Jenny is a sort after surf coach that has worked with a lot of professional and free surfers to develop style whilst focusing on technique.

When I hear the word 'hippie' I have flashes of images behind my eyes that stereotype the colourful movement of the 1970's, of loose parties my parents dragged us kids along to playing loud trippie music, and lots of hair! So you can understand my pleasure when I got to meet 'modern day' hippie, Lauren Hill ( free surfer, thinker and cool chick). Lauren is an educated, passionate person concerned about our Ocean and marine animals. Focused on treading softly on the earth and living a sustainable lifestyle while raising awareness and catching some waves.
Getting To Know Sarah Hughen

There are special people on this planet that choose to make a positive difference in the world. Sarah Hughen is one of these souls focused on a personal challenge to surf everyday for a year to bring awareness to Breast Cancer. Her website www.awaveaday.com shares the journey of her 'Pink Board Project'. Sarah started her challenge on the 1st of May 2011, with over half the year surfed already Sarah reflects on her achievement.
"It started off slow, I felt like I was plugging along and barley getting anywhere... like it was going to be a LONG year! But now with only about 100 days left, I am amazed at how fast it has flown by! I am constantly reminded that my efforts are making a difference by the emails I receive from someone who the project has touched or inspired".

Amy Kotch's story starts with day dreaming of perfect waves, watching the sun drop into the never ending crystal clear tropical waters of the Maldives, and coconut palms littering the white sand of the shore. Understandably one can be completely envious of Amy Kotch's dream job…Being the first woman to land a job as the resident surf guide at the Four Seasons Resort back in the day. Amy now lives a nomadic lifestyle with her Husband working in the Maldives for six months of the year on 'HudhuranFushi Resort' and this year helping out Allois at Pohnpei Surf Club in Micronesia for the remainder of the year.
