Know as the tear drop island, Sri Lanka is an island surrounded by the Indian Ocean, the Gulf of Mannar and the Palk Strait, and lies in the vicinity of India and the Maldives. It is part of South Asia. Its location is in the path of major sea routes and is a strategic naval link between West Asia and South East Asia. It was an important stop on the ancient Silk Road.

Ok, so we gathered up a mixture of different souls and headed to 'Evans Head Surf Shack' for a long weekend of surf madness! Evans Head is a sub tropical hidden treasure that is widely undiscovered, comparable to Byron Bay but without the masses of people, you can surf whilst enjoying the long stretches of uncrowded pristine sandy beaches, rainforest, heathland, lagoons and an abundance of wildlife. As well as enjoying creature comfits such as a hot shower, comfy bed, machine coffee and the pub is within walking distance.
