What is Naturopathy?

Medicines & Cures

Today is going to be a short one, I am feeling salty and quite content after an action packed morning in the ocean with my girls. Which makes me think of taking the time to do the things we love, and the things that nurture us and make us feel GREAT!

I have decided that I would give you a shake down on what Naturopathy is, as a modality, which incorporates a wide range of therapeutic tools such as herbal medicine, nutritional advice and supplementation, counselling and vibrational medicine such as bush flower essences to restore and balance the client.

The naturopath is interested in treating each person as an individual. It is important in the first consultation for a comprehensive “picture” of the client and all faucets of their life to be taken into account, only then can the client be treated “holistically”, the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental are all taken into consideration.

Aside from being an effective way to restore health, it is an extremely nurturing experience, with healing beginning with the client being able to take the time to explain their situation in their own words, in their own time. In our time-poor world, this is a great indulgence that people don’t realise that they need until they undertake it. Liken it to expelling a breath of air that you didn’t realise you were holding.

So treat yourself with kindness, indulge and have fun!!!!!!!
