The world’s top female surfers will be in Peru next week to partake in the ASP 6-Star Movistar Women’s Pro presented by Rip Curl and Petrolera Sapet in Lobitos. The event is scheduled for July 24-28 on the hollow lefthand waves of Lobitos, in northern Peru.

SriLankan Airlines Pro Cancelled

After seven years of successful competition the SriLankan Airlines Pro has unfortunately been cancelled for 2012. The competition ran in the Maldives for the first five years before moving to Sri Lanka. Last year saw a successful combined Men’s WLT and Women’s 6-Star ASP World Tour event held at Sri Lanka’s world-class pointbreak Arugam Bay.

Courtney Conlogue Wins Swatch Girls Pro France, Bianca Buitendag Claims Pro Junior

Courtney Conlogue (USA) 19, has won the ASP 6-Star Swatch Girls Pro France defeating Paige Hareb (NZL) 22, in 2-3Ft wind affected waves at Les Bourdaines, Seignosse, France. Perfect conditions greeted competitors this morning with a building swell and an offshore breeze allowing the event to start again after a lay-day yesterday. Quarter-finals of the Pro Junior opened today’s proceedings before moving to the main event and running it all the way to the crowning of Courtney Conlogue this afternoon.
