Philippa Anderson (Merewether, NSW) have been crowned the respective Women’s champions on the final day of the Australian Surf Festival supported by Essential Energy at Port Macquarie.
New South Wales continued the domination in the Open Women’s final with Philippa Anderson (Merewether, NSW) attacking the waves with precision and power. Her perfect 10.0 and 9.50 rides gave her the highest combined heat total of the day.
“I’m really happy,” said Anderson. “In the juniors I got a lot of seconds, so finally in the Opens I can take it and keep it in NSW. The field was really hard. There was quite a few girls surfing really good so I’m really happy.”
