We all know her as the smiling assassin, friendly on land but taking no prisoners competitiveness in the lineup. Sally Fitzgibbons has had a great start to the year taking the win at the competitive 6 star WQS event in Burleigh. With the 2013 Roxy Pro just around the corner we thought it would be great to get to know a little more about Sally.
Kelia Moniz Claims ASP Women’s World Longboard Title

Kelia Moniz (HAW) has won the SWATCH Girls Pro China 2012 hosted by Wanning over Chelsea Williams (AUS), claiming her maiden ASP Women’s World Longboard Title. The pair repeated history by meeting in the Final as they did at last year’s SWATCH Girls Pro China, where Williams won, but today it was Moniz who took top honours.
Female Surfing Receives A Wake Up Call At The Margaret River Pro

If anyone had any doubts to how serious and competitive women's professional surfing is, you need not look any further than the Margaret River Pro held March 16-24th in Western Australia. In one wave Sally Fitzgibbons and Laura Enever, showed that female surfers are not just cute, bikini wearing sideshow inferior to there male counterparts. When Fitzgibbons and Enever took off on the same wave (Fitzgibbons going right Enever going left) during their Round Three Heat, Fitzgibbons grabbed Enever by the chest and back throwing Enever from her board in a fashion typically seen in The WWE, not an ASP event.
